Important!
Once the new filter is installed, you need to flush the system by running water through the dispenser until the water runs clear and flows steadily. There might be some sputtering, but that’s totally normal, it’s just air pockets being forced out.
-
How long is it going to take to install my new water filter?
-
Practically no time at all! It’s pretty straightforward. There are installation instructions on the product box specific to your fridge model.
-
-
What if my old filter is hard to remove?
-
It could be that the o-ring seals on your old filter were sealed too tightly to the receiver, OR, the receiver itself has warped over time. These things happen when filters are left in way past replacement time.
-
-
What if the new filter is giving me installation trouble?
-
These newer filters all have tighter seals, so it may take a bit more force by hand - BUT - do not use tools to install this filter. Using tools for extra leverage and/or torque could permanently damage the filter or your receiver.
-
- Do I need to lubricate the gaskets on my filter?
- Every Second Nature fridge filter is pre-lubricated for hassle-free installation.
